Well I didn’t sleep well. Was probably the anticipation brewing inside. I have been a bit anxious out and about lately so I wasn’t looking forward to the journey.
Started the day with a tasty breakfast at the Quarter Cake Cafe, Annan. Had the pleasure of Mum and Chris’s company. Was a cracking BIG (of course) Full Breakfast.

Headed back home to worry about what we hadn’t packed for a bit.
Ready

Uncle Ferg kindly dropped us off at the station in Lockerbie. We were there in time and enjoyed a wait in the driving g wind and rain. Very refreshing.
A selection of drinks had been pre purchased so we found our seats, which Emma didn’t like as it was surrounded by youfs. We found another two seats and sighed with relief.

It was a pleasant, uneventful train journey. Miraculously on time as well.
We used the “night before” tui bag dropped off. Excellent service if you get the chance. Got rid of the big cases and only had to deal with the wee ones.
After they were dumped, it was on to the hotel. £7.20 for both of us in the shuttle bus. Was there in minutes.
Threw in a mention of Emma’s birthday at reception while checking in and we got a couple of drinks vouchers chucked in.
Room was decent. (Trying the 360 cam. Not sure I’m doing it right though lol)
The lounge with included booze was available 1800 to 2000 hours. We arrive at 1830. There was no time to lose!
Really good selection in the lounge. Including canapés.

It was a help yourself to beer and waitress service for wine and spirits kind of deal. Loved it.
Tasty meal to follow in the bar. I had the Slow cooked salt & pepper feather blade of beef. Very tasty.

Aberdeen were playing Celtic on the telly. Dad would have been watching and messaging about them getting beat. Very impressed with the Crown Plaza Manchester Airport.
Off to bed then.
