Cruise – Day 3 – St. George’s, Granada

After being rocked to sleep by the oceans waves. (About 1.8 metres according to the Captain) I slept as well as I usually do. I was up at 0430 so went out and read on the balcony for a couple of hours. was lovely. Warm and windy. Not much to see at that time in the middle of the sea though…

Got about another hour and then up for some breakfast.

Another cracking balcony view.

Can’t beat seeing a couple of big baps first thing. What a lovely backdrop to eat to.

After chomping on those tasty baps. It was off to the Summer House for a breakfast beer. 10am so decided on a Cruzcampo today.

The port was nice and lively.

We were heading on our first excursion at 1400! The Rhum Runner.

Grabbed a coffee on the way by and headed back to get changed. Greeted by a wee mouse today.

We had our usual anxious panic as to what to do and where to go. Had time for a quick lunch and warm up rum.

Then at 1340 we headed to the end of the pier to meet the rep. Rhum Runner ahoy.

The premise of the Rhum Runner was basically to transport you to a beach sit for a bit then back to the ship while listening to a steel drum band. All the while supplying the passengers with large amounts of rhum punch. What could go wrong.

Well firstly we were on the top deck and it lashed down.

On the way Moses was round chatting and making hats and bowls out of leaves. He was trying to sell them I feared he may have more luck later. We soon arrived at the cove.

It was lovely out there. Hired a couple of loungers, took a dip and enjoyed the constant supply of Rhum punch.

After an hour or so it was time to head back. Here’s a wee video giving an idea of what it was like.

Was great fun. Emma joined in with some conga action. I was my usual miserable self. And just sat taking it in, and drinking.

All good things though. Back to the ship.

Next was back to the room for a quick change before tea. Some stunning views at sunset.

Tea tonight was at Latitude 53. Everything was top notch again. Had no food complaints so far. Had my first Xmas dinner of the year.

Stuffed after tea so of to Flutes bar which specialises is fizz. Had a couple in there before snooze time.

Couple of nights at sea shots to finish.

Cheers!
