We were up early again for today’s Caribbean Pirate Sailaway. The balcony views were stunning as always.
We had to meet in the Broadway Show Lounge or BSL as the cool kids call it. We grabbed a quick breakfast then headed there.
They used the show lounge as a holding pen for muggles waiting on the various excursions. We sat patiently until the pirates sailaway was called to disembark. Then headed, like sheep, to the Scaramouche pirate ship.
Today’s trip was similar to yesterday’s excursion. Hour on the ship which would take us to a secluded beach then bring us back. The ship was pretty cool and was actually used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Or so they told us anyway.
And the views stunning.
After an hour or so we arrived at Mt. Wynne Beach. Was lovely black volcanic sand. The pirate ship dropped anchor and some folks dive in and went snorkeling. We got a wee boat across to the shore.
After chilling on the beach and having a swim it was time to head back.
Got the wee boat back across and they ramped up the tunes, dished out the rhum punch and set sail.
AI edited video incoming…
When we got back to the ship we headed for a quick shower then headed for a quick cocktail or two and some lunch.
First time we’d tried Nonna’s the Italian pizza and pasta place. Lunch menu was simple but good. After lunch it was time for a power nap.
Then straight to tea. Gonna be 50 stone after this holiday!
We went to Vista which is the included Italian place. When the restaurant is full they give you a buzzer and you have too wait in the fizz bar.
Its a hard life.
Really impressed again with the food. Was cracking.
After we’d eaten we went to a bar called Aperitif. It is a whisky and gin bar so ticks a lot of boxes. In fact all of the checklist pretty much.
I started with Opihr gin with ginger beer. Excellent.
Emma had Tanqueray Sevilla. Also excellent.
After a couple of those bad boys we headed to the Arts House for some live music to finish the evening off. Well and some more booze of course. CC&D for a kick of or Canadian Club and Ginger Ale. A drink from the good old days I only remember on holiday for some reason.
The highlight had to be Emma shouting up when he asked if any Scottish were in before playing the Proclaimers. She has lived there a year now I suppose lol.
Bed time and we were greeted by a wee octopus!
Night night.
