Big day ahead today. “Celebration of Vows”. We thought at the time that it would be a bit of a laugh, but as soon as we had the initial consultation with the great Alicia (Guest Experience Manager) we knew it was a serious thing here.
The wakeup view from the balcony was stunning as always.

The ship we were on for our last cruise, in the Adriaric, was docked in the same port. The staff went to meet their buddies and a few of them changed ships. Supposedly quite rare two being in the same port.
Started the day off in the “usual” way with a couple of bacon baps and then on for some breakfast booze and the view. Today’s choice was good old Dark Fruit.

And an excellent choice it was too. Refreshing in the heat.
We didn’t do much else in the morning. Lazed about drinking for a bit, then just went back to the room and chilled, We had to meet Alicia at 1515 in the Art House.
We got there about 1500ish to have a little prink.

Bit of a whirlwind after that. We sat and had some fizz with Alicia and Anthony (another customer experience chap who had just arrived).
After a little while, we got taken away by the photographers for some posed pics. Anyone who knows me will know exactly how much I enjoyed that.
Then we all headed up to the bridge to meet the Captain for the big ceremony. A couple of photographers still followed us everywhere.
Captain Silviu was a lovely guy. Really friendly (good looking) and genuinely came across like he enjoyed doing the ceremony.
Anyway here’s some pics.

The renewing the vows was the serious bit with the captain signing the certificate afterwards.

When that was done. More photos. Then back to the boozer for some fizz and canapes. Oh and maybe a cheeky Mojito.

Adter the pleasantries were over it was back to the room to get out of the suit. We had one of the “pay” restaurants booked at 1900.
The restaurant just happened to be next to Aperitif so it would have been rude not to have a glass of something. A rusty nail for me and an G&T for Emma was the order of the day.

To finish the evening we went to the ships Indian Restaurant, Kora La.

The food was top notch. The Waiter did warn me I’d struggle to finish what I’d ordered and he was spot on.
Next came the embarrassing song from the staff and delivery of the cake we didn’t particularly want.

The staff were amazing and we were stuffed and knackered after tea and a bunch of prosecco.
So at about 2100 headed back to be greeted by a cool towel display.

Had a cracking day with the lovely wife (paperwork renewed)

Night night.
