Cruise – Day 8 – Bridgetown, Barbados

A whole week gone already! It absolutely flew by.

Another early start. Up at 0700 to these mornings views.

Today we were going on a three beach tour. The party bus was leaving at 0830 so we grabbed a quick breakfast and then made our way out to the port.

After a long game of follow the dots through the port to the tour buses we arrived at the party bus.

Let’s roll.

After a good tour from Chris (Happy Birthday Chris) we arrived at the first stop, Busdriver/Tourguide Chris dished out the first Rhum punches of the day and we wandered down to Rockley Beach. $10 US rented us a couple of loungers for the hour we’d be there. Chris set up the bar where we could go for as much Rhum punch as our little hearts desired.

We’re not really beach lounging folk so an hour at each with some booze is perfect for us. The guys renting the loungers must make a fortune from this sort of stop.

Next up was was Pebbles Beach. Much of the same there though. $10 US for a couple of loungers. Drink while lounging looking over the sea towards the port.

Another hour of sun and drink there then just before it was time to leave for beach three it started spitting. When we got on the bus it started pouring!

So when we got to Pebble Beach we decided to find a bar. Chris recommended one so away we went to Da famous bird bar.

Had a few bottles of Banks, which is the local Barbaods beer, apparently.

The rain continued to hammer down outside while we carried on drinking.  Wasn’t long before time was up. Didn’t even see the beach except from afar.

Then back to the port we went.

Not much to report in the afternoon and evening. We had a pit stop for a couple of Mud Slides to wash the morning down. Then headed back to the room for a power nap.

After a wee snooze we had tea at around 1915 in Latitude 53 again. Was good gear again. I had soup starter then Stroganoff.

Then it was pretty much off to bed after a hard days drinking.

Night Night.
